Aatmanirbhar Bharat

     Aatmnirbhar Bharat (Devanagari: आत्मभनभर भारत, ISO: Āatmnirbhara Bhārata) which trans lates to
     ‘self-reliant India’, is a phrase used and popularized by the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi
     and the Government of India in relation to the economic vision and economic development in the
     country. In this context, the term is used as an umbrella concept with regard to making India a
     larger and more involved part of the world economy, pursuing policies that are efficient,
     competitive and resilient, that encourage equity, and being self-sustaining and self-generating. The
     English phrase has been used by Modi since 2014 in relation to national security, poverty and digital
     India. The first popular mention in Hindi came in the form of the ‘Aatmnirbhar Bharat Abhiyan’ or
     ‘Self-Reliant India Mission’ during the announcement of India’s COVID–19 pandemic related
     economic package in 2020. Since then phrase has been used across ministries such as the Ministry
     of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of
     Defense in relation to press releases, statements and policies. The phrase has also been used by
     the government in relation to India’s new National Education Policy and the 2021 Union Budget of
     India. The concept under the premiership of Narendra Modi has been adapted from previous
     explanations and usages of the concept in the Indian sub-continent.
     The swadeshi movement was one of India’s most successful pro-independence
     movements. Self-reliance as a phrase and concept has been used by the
     country’s former Planning Commission in multiple Five-Year Plans of India
     between 1947 and 2014. Commentators have noted that India has been enacting
     policies and building institutions that promote self-reliance since the day it was
     created. Private companies and their products have been considered as fine

                       Meaning of Aatm Nirbhar Bharat? Aatm Nirbhar” which is a Hindi word meaning in
                       English is “Self Reliant” which also refers less dependency on others or don’t be
                       dependent of others. Aatm Nirbhar Bharat is basically a term formulated at the
                       time of pandemic COVID-19 in India. It is actually the vision of our Hon’ble Prime
                       Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji to make India and Indians self reliant by starting
                       production of all mandatory items locally. This economic package will cater to the

                       industry, laborers, MSMEs. With this, the Prime Minister said that the time has
    come to make India self-reliant. For this, he called for using local products, promoting and making
    them global. For this, he gave the Slogan “Vocal for Local“. Benefits of Aatmnirbhar Bharat Abhiyan
    There are many benefits to being a self-reliant nation. Not only industries will grow but also
    unemployment will be eliminated. This will ensure that the poverty rate will decline and the nation’s
    economy will strengthen up.India’s self-reliance will benefit the entire country and every citizen of
    the country. The first advantage will be that we will not have to depend on other countries for the
    things we need.The Aatmnirbhar Bharat Abhiyan package aims to make local products global and
    help Indian companies compete in global supply chains. A reduction in imports will save foreign
    exchange. We can earn more and more foreign exchange by exporting additional goods.
    Conclusion Due to the Coronavirus epidemic, the trade of goods and migration of people was
    disrupted and, as a result, many countries began preparing for future epidemics to diversify supply
