How could anyone be Aatm Nirbhar in their life
What is “Aatm Nirbhar”?
It means depending on myself, my power or my resources than on others to accomplish what I want or
need. In short being “Independent” or “Self-dependent”

Why should I be “Aatm Nirbhar”?
Since it is a great skill to live my life as I don’t have to depend on anyone to get what I want and also
because I might not be able to reach out to my support system like my parents or teachers every time
to help me take a decision.

How can I be “Aatm-Nirbhar”?
1. I take responsibility
• I relied on my parents to wake me up every morning so that I can get ready on time to go to school,
it’s time to make friends with alarm clock and get up on my own every single day.
• If I notice my room is looking messy, I will clean it up than waiting for my mom to do it for me.
• If I am unable to do well in class, I will study more and harder than blaming the teacher or the
textbook.
2. I explore Instead of always asking for a solution or readymade answer, I will try to figure things on
my own as experience is my best teacher. It will give me a chance to learn and expand my
knowledge. When I can’t go any further is when I will reach out to my parents/teachers/elders to
help me with their advice and then ask better questions to use them next time.
3. I know what I want I want to be an astronaut. However, I know I need to be good at studies and be
best at learning what is taught to me at school. So, I strive to study, understand and be best in class
every single day. My Simple steps are to do well in class, complete my homework with little or no
help, do well in every tests/exams. And then one day I will be ready to
become what I want.
4. I make my own decisions
• I will let my parents know my likes and dislikes e.g. which Ice-cream flavor I
want, which movie I want to watch.
• I will tell them what I want to learn like I love skating and swimming. So I will
ask them to help me learn that.
• I love to play in snow so I tell them the destination I want to go for Vacation. Abishai

Self Dependent

Nothing completes "YO“ Expect "U“

'Self dependent ' or 'aatam nirbhar' the word itself explain its meaning - self
reliant. Having self reliance is important for several reasons. The most
obvious is that depending on others for help means there will be times
when it's not available ..so it helps that you can solve problems, and make
decisions by yourself. Its not only gives a chance to live with your own
ideas but also increases your self confidence. It also turns you into a strong
asset towards your family and country which enhances your reputation. It
has lots of benefits .And the most important point comes that it gives us a
