Travelling
Human curiosity is a miraculous and wondrous thing, which often leads to exploration in
various aspects of our life. If it wasn’t for this exploration our society wouldn’t be where it
stands today. The human mind bifurcates into curiosity to gain and learn, which was what lead
to traveling and exploring our surroundings. Traveling not only leads us to marvel and relax
from this busy lifestyle but also creates fond memories which last
forever, these memories with tune and time turn into some great
stories which often bring back nostalgia and fondness. Even while
writing this article my mind goes back to the time when I travelled
to the different parts of this India. Whether it was my adventurous
trip to Laddakh or a visit to the peaceful valleys of Manner in Kerala,
both create a sense of sweet memories. From the beautiful oceans
of Andaman to the heavenly sand dunes of Jaiselmer, my travel list Bhawana Chauhan Singh
goes on and so do the stories that go hand in hand with my visits. Suraj Degree College Gurgaon
"We can see beauty well enough just by opening our eyes, but how long this beauty
will survive in memory depends on how intentionally we have apprehended it.”
Since time immemorial, humans and animals alike; have valued the importance of travel.
One of the greatest advantages of travel is that it takes us on a journey into new worlds
that we would have never been exposed to. Traveling allows us to meet people of
different cultures, with diverse traditions and distinctive lifestyles. As we travel and
discover these newly found worlds, take a moment to reflect not only on the differences
that we observe in their lifestyle and behaviour. but on the things that unite us. This
practice will not only broaden your mind but will allow our authentic self to surface.
We all know that technology has replaced many traditional modes of communication
such as journaling or letter writing but when we write, we’re forcing ourselves to reflect
on a particular scene, place, or thing. In such scenarios, diary plays
a crucial role where we may be detached from reality whilst still
being a part of it. Diaries can be revisited anytime. A travel diary
is more than just a daily record of events and happenings – it’s a
personal memento and a physical heirloom we can pass down.
Nothing compares to the visual and tactile experience offered by a
battered diary brimming with jottings, annotated memorabilia,
stamps and sketches. It’s a time capsule waiting to bring us back to
yesteryear; to a variant of ourselves when we were most advent-
urous, most keen to explore, and most connected to a different
part of the world.
