I stayed in Dubai for about 15 years of my married life & worked in Dubai for more than 9 years .
Before I moved to Dubai, I worked in India for about 4 years. Few highlights about life & living in
        Dubai:
Man- Made Wonder - With very few natural sites, there are so many manmade wonders
there that you cant help but appreciate the human limits.
Sunday to Thursday - The working days are Sunday to Thursday and not Monday to Friday.
Some companies also have Saturday working.
Salaries without tax - We don’t pay any taxes on the salaries we get here. Whatever we get is
our take-home salary. There is 5% VAT though which we pay for buying products/ services. Some
nationalities do pay taxes to their home countries.
Lifestyle - Many people spend extravagantly here, some can actually afford and some live on the
edge. I have seen many people living in posh areas, buying high-end cars, living on credit cards to
maintain the social status. I believe that you can save significant amount of your salaries and also
maintain a decent lifestyle if you live within your means.
Food - There are plenty of restaurants catering to all
kind of tastes and budgets. Being a non vegetarian, I love
the food there and the number of options I had.
Hub for all the nationalities - You can see people
from all the countries here so English becomes the
common language here. Due to presence of a big no of
people from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh, Hindi &
        Malayalam are also quite common.

Work Culture - It really depends on the company you
are working for. Also, depends on your level. I have not
seen much of “work from home” culture here but many
companies provide you flexibility in work.
Law and Order - You can roam around freely at any
hour and no one will harm you, you drop your wallet on
the road and you shall get it back. People respect law.
cars will give way to the pedestrians even during peak
hours. Though there is crime, but it is very low. The fines
are also very high due to which people follow the rules

Dubai is one of the most fantastic destinations in
the world where you will witness many life
                                                        changing experiences and impressive wonders.
This exciting city has many beaches, a plethora of
                                                        shopping malls, record-breaking structures,
stunning architecture, and dining options. Beyond
the glossy buildings, there are award-winning
restaurants and cultural hubs in this lovely cit 7y of
