3 Days in Manali
Manali Plan – a road trip with family
For the last one year or even more than that, we had not gone on a road trip together – just because
of a very well known reason. And somehow, one day everything just fell into place when my brother
got leaves from hi s office, my kid had vacations, my husband spare some time from hi s busy
schedule and of course me, as always ready to travel . So , the travel dates were planned and hotel
bookings were done. A little over 12 hrs. drive from Gurgaon lays this picturesque town of Himachal ,
along the river Beas. We start our journey at 4o’clock in the
morning. We took a stopover at Chandigarh and many other
places for tea and snacks. Later, we continued on our journey
to Manali and reached our hotel at 5 pm. After checking in,
all of us were in big need of a small rest. An early morning
road trip was enough to slow us down this evening. We
woke up at 6 pm and wandered out to explore the mall road
on our Manali trip with family. Our evening ended with us
filling ourselves up to the fullest, with a delicious dinner buffet at the hotel.
Day 2: Freezing adventures at Rohtang Pass
It was a thrilling experience when we went to Rothang Pass. This place was some 50 km away from
Manali . It is a high mountain pass on the eastern Per Panjal Range of the Himalayas. It is some
4000km above the sea level . We were told to wear winter
clothes and they sell some special zed ones meant for the
Tourist visiting this place. They al so provide us with a stick.
After reaching Rot hang pass, we need to walk a bi t in
order to reach the snow covered mountain. It was a great
experience walking on the snow and playing with snow.
To conclude I would say it’s a good place to en joy with
family.
Day 3: Local sightseeing around Manali
On the final day of our trip to Manali , we scheduled a half-day sightseeing tour around Manali .
First up, we began by taking divine blessing from the Hadimba Temple. After that, we moved to
the Vashisht village to visit its temple and hot springs. It was incredible seeing the 4000-year-old
hot springs, which is believed to contain healing powers. The tour ended with a visit to the
inspiring Buddhist monastery in Manali .
We returned to the hotel at noon to check out and
head back towards New Delhi in our car. On our way
out, we thanked the hotel staff in Manali for their
excellent service and great food. Our trip to Manali
came to an end as we arrived back in Gurgaon at
1o’clock. Traveling to Manali was not only a tour but
al so i t was my experience that I earn recently. I can
forget my tour but cannot forget my experiences.
So, i f you love traveling, you will love Manali!
